Artemis Media Profile is delighted to announce it has received the prestigious Gold Award under the MoD’s Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
Signing the Armed Forces Covenant, organisations pledge to honour two main principles which are: no member of the armed forces community should face disadvantage at work or in the community compared to other citizens and in some circumstances special consideration is appropriate for those who have given most, such as the injured or bereaved.
Artemis is deeply committed to supporting the Armed Forces and encourages its clients to do the same.
The MoD, Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary are key customers of the maritime sector and Artemis has a significant understanding of the culture of these key stakeholders.
Artemis proudly signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant in 2023, a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.
Artemis implements marketing campaigns to help clients promote their Armed Forces personnel, including hosting events during Armed Forces week and developing annual social media campaigns for Armed Forces Week.
This engagement not only helps customers to develop effective Armed Forces policies but also enables businesses to engage with the MoD - a key stakeholder of the maritime sector.
Artemis works with clients of all sizes to help them develop strategies to support ex-military personnel in their work place. From supporting APCL Cammell Laird in achieving their Gold Award in 2024 and APCL A&P Falmouth in 2025, to achieving Silver for NDT Project Solutions. Artemis is also delighted to be supporting Shield Marine Services.
Over the last two years, Artemis has also launched The Veterans’ Green Energy Forum - a brand-new networking group which was established to bring together members of the renewable energy supply chain to tackle issues of employment inequality across the sector.
Artemis is hosting a range of events across the UK to create job opportunities with the renewable sector and become the go-to portal for our ex-military personnel and other groups who want to establish careers in the green energy sector.
More than 200 employers – from FTSE 100 companies and emergency services, to local councils and high street names – have been recognised for their exceptional support to the Armed Forces community. These Gold Award winners show that supporting Defence is not just the right thing to do, it also makes strong business sense.
Since its launch in 2014, the Gold Award has become the highest badge of honour for employers who champion veterans, Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and military families in the workplace. This year’s winners demonstrate the power of values-led leadership, creating more inclusive, resilient, and dynamic organisations.
Emma Parker-Goff, Managing Director of Artemis Media Profile, said: “Artemis’ commitment to the Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence lies at the heart of our business and we are delighted that this commitment has been recognised by the Ministry of Defence.
“We strive to be an example within the sectors in which we operate advocating for the Armed Forces community to our clients and the wider supply chain.
“We will continue this endeavour and look forward to working with other businesses, supporting them to do the same.”
Minister for Veterans and People, Al Carns DSO OBE MC MP, said:
“Employers are crucial partners in protecting our security and boosting the economy. By backing veterans, Reservists, military families, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and the Cadet movement, these organisations build resilient communities and the innovation Defence needs. I congratulate them and thank them for their outstanding commitment.”
To achieve Gold, employers must:
- Provide at least 10 days’ additional paid leave for Reservists
- Implement HR policies for veterans and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers
- Advocate for Defence across their networks and sectors
- Demonstrate sustained commitment well beyond the minimum requirements
These organisations lead by example, helping to shift national attitudes and raise standards across their sectors.
From global finance and property to healthcare, retail and local government, this year’s recipients highlight the growing range and depth of employer support.
